+ For readers/watchers who have already watched the episode (spoilers) (assumptions)

Episode 14 was released on Sunday, March 14, and let's just say...

My heart was shattered.

"Your family was made to forget who they are and live only to protect. In other words, slaves."

“You know what I hate the most in the world? People who aren’t free. They’re no more than cattle.”

"Your entire life has been dictated by your Ackermann blood."

Episode 13 ended with Eren walking into the restaurant, hand casually raised to say hi but with a cut. Seems innocent right? Nope. That single cut was a threat to unleash his titan form. So this reunion is unfriendly. But how unfriendly exactly?

I certainly was not prepared for what he said. Not at all. As a pessimistic viewer trained by past episodes, I knew to be prepared for the worst.

But was I ready for the amount of heat Eren added to the conversation? Absolutely not.

He was straight ruthless and savage.

Nobody lie to me. Anyone who has been watching this show would never have expected that Erin would betray Mikasa the way he did.

"Ackermans were bred to be the protectors of kings and queens, they have a built-in loyalty to their designated charges."

According to Eren's theory, Mikasa's innate built-in theory was activated when Eren commanded her to fight back against her attackers on the day they met as children. This unwittingly made Eren the thing Mikasa was genetically programmed to protect.

In other words, the thing Eren claims to "hate" the most -- a slave.

But did anyone think that Eren would fight Armin?

"Hey, Armin. You and I have never fought before, have we? Do you know why? Because it's not even close to a fair fight!"

Cue the absolute pummeling.

I must say my heart broke to a thousand pieces. The poor trio of childhood friends we watched grow up together, who went through so much hardship, who dreamed of seeing the ocean together -- destroyed in a three-minute conversation.

I'm team Eren till the day I die but I certainly wanted to punch him in the face after that episode.

We've seen plenty of bloody fights where hundreds of loved characters have died but this hurt the most.

There are clear parallels in the choreography of Eren’s beatdown on Armin that mirror the Attack Titan’s assault on the Armored and Jaw Titans. It’s a breaking point for this duo that have always had each other back and the audience is still left to question if Eren has truly fallen for Zeke or if there are still other levels of deception present here where this behavior is a mask for something bolder.

Did you catch the tear in the corner of his eye by the way?

But here's another theory: maybe Eren is lying or this is part of his bigger plan. Maybe, just maybe, there's a reason for his hurtful behavior.

Did I love the episode? Yes and no. Why? Cause my heart was broken once again.

Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 15: Sole Salvation will be released next. Stay tuned for more heartbreak. Grab your tissues boys cause the next ones going to be just as harsh.
